I’m not claiming to be the best Words with Friends player on the entire planet. I will say that I’m pretty damn good, and most likely I’ll beat you. I lose here and there… But more often than not, I’m going to kick your ass. I have never cheated, I never will, and if you do, you should just ask yourself what the point of playing is… You still know you’re a loser when you do that. Even a bigger one for doing it. (That was just a side note, now onto the story!)

My brother Matthew challenged me at WWF a week or so ago. I was getting horrible letters, but I didn’t want to throw out excuses during our first game. Then when we were down to less than 10 tiles left and he was about by about 50 or 60 points… I get an email from him titled “It’s ok….” and here is a copy and paste of what the Email said inside… “It’s ok… NO! NO nO no… Don’t cry now. it’s ok, NO, don’t cry! Maybe next time you’ll beat me at words;-) NO! Don’t cry! it’s ok…” This is him taunting me about the win he was 100% he was about to earn.

Well, he didn’t know that I’m Brian GDMF Monarch, and I don’t give up when it comes to competition. I might not always win, but I HATE LOSING… So, in the great immortal words of LL Cool J, Matta….. DON’T CALL IT A COMEBACK! I’VE BEEN HERE FOR YEARS! Here’s the final score. What a points swing this game took with only a few moves left! Bring it on people… Challenge kilerb if you dare.

Straight Riffin’ with Rev. Mitcz

Had a lot of fun last night on Reverend Mitcz’s podcast, Straight Riffin’. We were so wrapped up in the subjects at hand that we went over our time, recording for 2 hours and 20 minutes! SoCalStandUp.com’s First Hollywood Improv Show

The show was a sell out! Not bad for our first show on a Tuesday night! Headliner Ocean Glapion rocked the stage along with special guest Iliza Shlesinger and host The Greg Wilson! Sure, I got bumped for Todd Glass and Sugar Sammy ran the light by 20 minutes or so… But hopefully we’ll be back and next time the timing will work out. What’s important is that the show was a success and the crowd definitely LOVED the show. Added some new images to the gallery page as well. It was cool meeting Craig Robinson, Nick Swardson, and Todd Glass on this fun night. Thanks to The Hollywood Improv for having us!

Birthday in Comedy Store Main Room

We had such an awesome show! Wanted to thank everyone that came out to The Comedy Store for my birthday! We had some great comics performing that night including Bobby Lee from MadTV, Last Comic Standing Winner Iliza Shlesinger, and master of ceremonies The Greg Wilson. Everyone had a great time and we packed that 350 seat venue until there were no more seats to be sat in! What a show… Looking forward to doing it again. We have another awesome show coming up with Ahmed Ahmed at The Jon Lovitz Comedy Club this Friday! Can’t wait! Hope to see you there. Buh-rian………….. OUT!

Joe Rogan was the host of the hugely successful reality show, “Fear Factor,” for six seasons on NBC. Prior to “Fear Factor”, Rogan played Joe Garrelli, the resident electrician on the hit NBC comedy series “NewsRadio.”

Since 2002, Rogan has provided color commentary for the UFC (Ultimate Fighting Championship) on Pay Per View and Spike Television and also hosts the syndicated show, “UFC Wired.” Rogan’s passion for MMA began with martial arts practice at the age of 13. Within two years, the Boston native earned a black belt and soon became the Massachusetts full contact Tae Kwon Do champion four consecutive years. By the age of 19, Rogan won the US Open Tae Kwon Do Championship and as lightweight champion went on to beat both the middle and heavyweight title-holders to obtain the Grand Championship.

Rogan’s other true love is standup comedy. As a standup comedian for nearly 20 years Joe Rogan has honed an inquisitive and intense comedic style. He exudes a mad joy for life in all its insanity and revels in the art of standup comedy to explore the world with raw honesty. This has made him a national headliner, a favorite performer at the prestigious Just For Laughs Festival in Montreal and a guest on “The Tonight Show with Jay Leno,” “Late Night with Conan O’Brien” and “Jimmy Kimmel Live.” In 2000, Rogan released his debut comedy album, “I’m Gonna Be Dead Someday,” on Warner Bros. Records. In April of 2007 he released a follow-up CD, “Shiny Happy Jihad” on Comedy Central Records. Rogan’s debut DVD “Joe Rogan Live” aired on Showtime in the spring of 2007.

Rogan resides in Los Angeles and regularly performs stand-up locally and nationally.

Tomorrow is the big day! It’s going to be the event of the century… & IT’S FREE ADMISSION! We’ll be starting out in both Todd Maugh and DJ PM’s cars, and making our way into LA Pizza for the most “smokin’” show of all time! Headliner Jon Tomashefsky will be rockin’ the mic along with a bunch of other awesome comedians! We also might have a surprise drop in or 2! Beer pitcher specials all night during the show! This show is going to rock Granada Hills like no other! How much is it to get in? NOTHING! How do you make a reservation? YOU DON’T NEED ONE! What time does it start? 8pm! Congratulations to LA Pizza, as they will probably sell more food on Tuesday than they have in the last 10 years! 1 Year Anniversary Week at The LA Pizza Comedy Experience™

I can’t believe this show has been going for an entire year… We’ll be celebrating with 2 huge shows. Both starting an hour early. The first show will be on Tuesday, May 12th at 7pm. We’ll have headliner KC Armstrong from the Howard Stern Show. Should be a great turnout for this one. I’ll be putting more spots on this show that the norm so you should not have a problem getting on board. We will be having another big show on Friday, May 15th. This show will feature many of the headliners that have performed at The LA Pizza Comedy Experience over the last year, including Mike Muratore, Ro Delle Grazie, Rob DeRocha, Ed Greer, Jenny Murphy, Jentle Phoenix, Shannon Hatch, Danielle Stewart, Joey Sorice, Bart Tangredi, and Big Mike. We’ll be kicking this show off nice and early too and we’ll be starting the show with an open mic event. Come on down and enjoy the pizza, beer, and all our comedy faves!
